Welcome back to week two of my (Junior Producer, Sophie Meissner) weekly update about the project "Love and Vodka." Today, we will once again be discussing preparations for our upcoming Seed&Spark Campaign.
For me, a lot of this has entailed creating graphics and organization. Surprisingly, it's quite fun. When the campaign starts, a lot more work will be needed, although prep is a huge part of the whole fundraiser as well. Other than that, a new draft of the script has come out and I've been reading through it, marking down certain critiques and changes, as well as doing an overall breakdown of certain things. At this point, I definitely know the script quite well, probably up there with our main producer/director/multi-hyphenate, Heidi Philipsen. While that will be it from me for now, I hope for a more interesting, detailed check-in next week, alongside the launch of our campaign. Expect more videos as well as information coming soon! xoxo, Sophie

Hi everyone, Junior producer Sophie here.
I thought, as filming is coming up, I would start a weekly update series where I detail how things are going on our side and include little interesting tidbits here and there. I love indie film because it feels more personal and "authentic" so to say, so that's a little of what I'm attempting with this series. Well, I'll start by saying that prepping a crowdfunding campaign is quite frustrating at times. Trying to make every detail perfect, rallying the troops, getting the production team to all agree on things... it doesn't feel like smooth sailing. Luckily, it's not like we're getting thrown overboard either. After a couple (significantly more than a couple) of attempts, it feels like progress is being made. Producer Heidi and I are working on the final touches and are nervous and excited to start the process of *actually* crowdfunding. When the time comes, we would really, really appreciate any support you can give! Whether that be monetary, or via sharing the project with others; every little bit is of value to us:) Recently, I've also been doing a lot of research on Ukrainian music. Keep an eye out for my recommendations, which I so graciously will upload onto our Seed&Spark during the period of our Crowdfunding Campaign. (This is indeed an incentive to check out our profile.) (I hope you feel incentivized.) (There is more where that came from.) I fear the time has come for me to sign off - I know, I know. You're devasted. But don't you worry. I'll be back next week to spill the weekly gossip and keep the good times rolling. xoxo, Sophie After two years, LOVE AND VODKA returns to the EFM stage once again to be pitched. As alum of the JETS Initiative program, we are so grateful for the opportunity to return and show the changes and progress of the script and project.
With the EFM finally back in person, two representatives from Personae Entertainment have headed to the market to pitch and get support for LOVE AND VODKA. With the production taking place in the summer 2023, we hope to raise final funds and spread awareness of the project!
The #Loveandvodkamovie team is so excited to announce Love and Vodka's acceptance and participation in the 2021 JETS initiative program. The program takes place on the 16th and 17th of February and is specially aimed for co-productions and films wishing to become co-productions. We are all so grateful to have been selected!
